Cookie Policy
Version B 1.1 – 30/11/2025
This Cookie Policy forms an integral part of the Privacy Notice.
Users are informed about the use of technical cookies on the Website through a banner displayed at each first access, in accordance with the provisions of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), Decision No. 229 of 8 May 2014 and Decision No. 231, “Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools,” published in the Italian Official Gazette No. 163 of 9 July 2021.
What are cookies?
Cookies consist of small portions of code (computer files or partial data) sent by a server to the user’s Internet browser, automatically stored on the user’s device and retransmitted to the server each time the user accesses the Website.
Typically, a cookie contains:
- the name of the website from which it originates,
- its lifespan (i.e., how long it will remain on the user’s device), and
- a value, usually a randomly generated unique number.
At each subsequent visit, cookies are sent back to the website that generated them (first-party cookies) or to another site that recognizes them (third-party cookies).
Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize the user’s device and have various purposes, such as enabling efficient navigation between pages, remembering preferred sites, and improving overall browsing experience.
They also help ensure that online advertising content is more relevant to the user and their interests.
If users choose to disable cookies, this may affect and/or limit their browsing experience on the Website; for example, they may not be able to access certain sections.
Cookie management—i.e., how to limit or block cookies—can be controlled by adjusting the browser settings. Most browsers are initially set to automatically accept cookies, but users may modify these settings to block cookies or receive alerts whenever cookies are sent to their device.
There are different ways to manage cookies. Users should refer to their browser’s help section to determine how to adjust or change settings. Users may modify the default configuration and disable cookies entirely by setting the highest level of protection.
Cookies used on the Website
The Website uses different types of cookies, each serving a specific function. Cookies help make navigation easier and may also speed up future interactions. Additionally, they are used to compile aggregated anonymous statistics to understand how users interact with the Website and to improve its structure and content.
Below is an explanatory list:
Technical cookies
Essential for the proper functioning of the Website; they enable users to navigate the Website and use its features (e.g., remembering previous actions, saving user sessions, or performing other activities strictly necessary for operation).
The Website may use session cookies stored on the user’s computer for technical purposes—for example, to enable secure and efficient browsing. These cookies are deleted at the end of the session when the browser is closed.
Persistent cookies remain stored on the user’s device until expiration or manual deletion. They allow automatic recognition of the user (or other users of the same device) upon subsequent visits.
Analytical cookies
These cookies help understand how users interact with the Website by providing information such as:
- last page visited,
- number of sections and pages viewed,
- time spent on the Website,
- any errors encountered during navigation.
The information collected is aggregated and anonymous. These cookies help improve the usability of the Website.
Functionality cookies
These allow the Website to remember user choices (e.g., username) and provide a more personalized browsing experience. They are not essential for basic operation but enhance quality and usability. If these cookies are not accepted, performance and functionality may be reduced.
Third-party cookies
When users browse the Website, some cookies not controlled by the Website operator may be stored. This happens, for example, when a page includes content from third-party websites.
As a result, users may receive cookies from these third-party services.
The operator has no control over third-party cookies and access to data collected through them. These data are entirely managed by third parties, as described in their respective privacy policies.
